Ooops. Slacking

Ok, so I didn't make it far in my trip before the blogs stopped, so let me try and catch up.

DAY 3...
Today was the practice round for the Legends Tour Golf Tournament. Really not an overly eventful day. I drove around the course looking for the players and realized that not all the guys bothered to practice, but did come across two pretty cool foursomes...

Michael Strahan, Clinton Portis, Eric Dickerson, Greg Lloyd

Bruce Smith, Lawrence Taylor, Jim Kelly, Darrell Talley

The rest of the day was very eventful, relxing the afternoon away knowing Friday would be a long day.

DAY 4...
Tournament day. Gypsy and I headed out to the golf course around 8:00 am to get set up for a 9:00 shotgun start. I was to be stationed at the 15th hole. A 166-yard par 3 playing downhill and with the wind. Roughly a nine iron. But you don't care about that. this is what you care about. the view from the tee box...

Out of the 11 groups that came through in the tournament only 3 or 4 players hit the green. Can't blame them for being distracted. By the way, Lawrence Taylor shot a 67 on his ball and his team still came in second.
Here are your winners, the Dave and Lonnie Stewart team (don't know the other guy's names)...

The awards dinner was that night. Great food, PLENTY of drinks, but more importantly an extremely heart-felt speech by Virginia Tech Alumn Bruce Smith about the tragedy that occured there this past week. His wife is also a VT grad.

DAY 5...
Saturday was a work day for me. Gypsy had a well deserved sleep-in while I headed into the casino office to begin the process of printing out the team photos and stuffing them into photo folders. that took most of the day.
I came back to the room and relaxed after, then last night Gypsy and I joined the golf course crew for a little poker (I came in 3rd, broke even). Then we headed out to the beach for a little karoke, I of course didnt sing, but Gypsy and the golf guys did.
ok, that's all for now. will try and keep up the rest of the trip.
